Nel progetto clim@venture svilupperemo un programma di educazione climatica volta all’azione nelle scuole superiori di vari paesi europei. Il programma sarà supportato da un sistema di scambio digitale: Clim@venture infatti organizzerà viaggi di apprendimento virtuali per gli studenti, che avranno modo di confrontarsi con loro coetanei che stanno svolgendo lo stesso programma in altri paesi. Offriremo una serie di scambi online transeuropei, micro-avventure locali ed esperienze in cui i partecipanti visiteranno e interagiranno virtualmente gli uni con gli altri per diventare reporter del clima. Condivideranno la loro passione e le loro conoscenze sulla sostenibilità/protezione del clima e otterranno nuove idee dai loro pari su come contribuire agli obiettivi climatici 1.5 dell’accordo di Parigi come cittadini europei attivi.
Svilupperemo output di progetto innovativi. Le nostre quattro attività principali seguiranno i principi del transformative design e – dopo essere state testate in 4 classi scolastiche in 4 paesi – potranno essere trasferite ad altre classi scolastiche in altri paesi. Ci sono quattro attività principali che saranno implementate attraverso il programma:
PR 1: teaching 4 transformation: sviluppo di un curriculum Clim@venture per un insegnamento trasformativo basato sull’avventura.
PR 2: videobox 4 transformation: realizzazione di materiale didattico di apprendimento audiovisivo (almeno 5 video teorici e almeno 5 tutorial) che coprono i diversi aspetti all’interno dei nostri 5 moduli (es. scienza del clima, storytelling, media, social media e giornalismo
PR 3: digitools 4 transformation: compilazione di strumenti digitali in un database di materiale digitale preesistente che raccogliamo da varie fonti da tutti e quattro i paesi partner a sostegno del progetto Clim@venture.
PR 4: guide 4 transformation: creazione di una guida al progetto per i formatori – istruzione e formazione su come utilizzare la nostra compilazione di strumenti digitali, il materiale didattico audiovisivo e il curriculum nella pratica.
Grazie a Clim@venture, possiamo sia promuovere esperienze condivise tra pari che sperimentare le differenze nazionali e culturali negli approcci alle soluzioni climatiche e alle pratiche climatiche a tutti i livelli.
Applicando un formato innovativo che combina “4 attività per la trasformazione” (vedi PRs), realizziamo la standardizzazione e la digitalizzazione dei materiali didattici per avventure climatiche di successo.
Inoltre progettiamo e realizziamo workshop (in presenza, online o come registrazioni video e tuorials) in modo da formare sempre più persone a condurre delle Clim@ventures! Con clim@ventures creeremo un’alternativa a lungo termine, resistente alle crisi e attraente, ai classici viaggi e scambi scolastici nello spirito di un “Erasmus verde”. Clim@ventures mette in evidenza le opportunità della collaborazione virtuale e del viaggio virtuale.
Inoltre aiutiamo gli studenti a vedere l’ambiente circostante attraverso una lente di sostenibilità. In questo modo, creiamo il requisito per sviluppare la consapevolezza di agire nel rispetto del clima e di impegnarsi per un futuro sostenibile.
Questo progetto è co-finanziato dall’Unione Europea attraverso il programma Erasmus+ nell’ambito del KA2 – Partenariati di cooperazione nell’istruzione scolastica.
Con la firma dell’Accordo di Parigi, la politica climatica è diventata una priorità educativa. Nel 2017, 102 dei 195 stati membri dell’UNESCO hanno deciso di avere un focus educativo dedicato all’Azione per l’Empowerment Climatico (ACE | UNFCCC) L’ACE sottolinea l’empowerment per l’azione individuale e il giudizio indipendente. Consentire agli studenti di plasmare attivamente un futuro senza CO2 è un obiettivo che deve essere raggiunto attraverso l’educazione al clima come parte integrante dei programmi scolastici. L’importanza di ACE si riflette in altri quadri internazionali come gli Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile (SDGs, 2015). Nel giugno 2015 è stato deciso che gli sforzi relativi all’attuazione dell’articolo 6 sarebbero stati indicati come Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) in riferimento all’articolo 6 dell’Accordo di Parigi.
Inoltre, la pandemia da Covid-19 non solo ha posto enormi sfide agli educatori e ai discenti per passare dalle lezioni in loco all’apprendimento online, combattendo allo stesso tempo la mancanza di alfabetizzazione digitale e mediatica e la conseguente disinformazione, ma ha anche messo un freno alla maggior parte delle mobilità e degli scambi giovanili. Tuttavia i programmi di scambio come Erasmus mobilities restano uno strumento essenziale per la creazione di valori comuni, impegno civico, cittadinanza europea. Anche nel post-pandemia, la minaccia ancora più grande del cambiamento climatico metterà la questione di un “Erasmus verde e resistente alle crisi” in cima all’agenda. Entrambe le crisi richiedono un’azione coraggiosa!
Siamo quattro organizzazioni che lavorano in quattro diversi paesi europei sui temi del digitale, della sostenibilità ambientale, della crisi climatica, dello storytelling basato sulle soluzioni e dell’empowerment dei giovani. Creare uno scambio Erasmus verde per le scuole con mobilità virtuale e missioni climatiche miste/globali chiamate Clim@adventure, è diventato l’obiettivo centrale della nostra partnership. Attraverso la nostra partnership otterremo maggiore impatto, più motivazione, più riduzione delle emissioni di CO2 creando uno scambio virtuale tra pari standardizzato e digitalizzato per le scuole europee con missioni climatiche locali.

Oltre a supportare tutti gli altri partner del progetto nella realizzazione degli altri materiali, degli output e nell’implementazione del progetto, come Italia Che Cambia abbiamo la responsabilità principale di coordinare la realizzazione dell’output n°2 – videobox per la trasformazione – la realizzazione e l’implementazione del corso di formazione sullo storytelling che si terrà in Italia il prossimo anno, nonché la comunicazione generale e la diffusione delle fasi e dei risultati del progetto.
In the clim@venture project we will develop a digital youth-exchange program that fosters action-oriented climate education in schools. Our clim@venture will provide virtual learning journeys and student mobility. Our partners also bring a lot of experience with gamification, storytelling and adventure-based, transformative learning that will guarantee an unforgettable learning journey experience with blended learning elements. Towards this goal we will e.g. offer a series of trans-european online-exchanges, local micro-adventures and experiences where participants virtually visit and interact with one another to become climate reporters. They will share their passion and learnings about sustainability /climate protection and get new ideas from their peers on how to contribute to the 1.5 climate goals of the Paris agreement as active European citizens.
In order to make the youth exchange and clim@ventures work we will develop innovative project outputs (Project results).
Our four main activities will follow the transformative design principles. These will guarantee the successes of transformative learning and – after being tested in 4 school classes in 4 countries – can be transferred to other school classes in other countries. There are four major activities which will be implemented through the programm:
PR 1: teaching 4 transformation: development of a clim@venture curriculum for adventure-based transformative teaching.
PR 2: videobox 4 transformation: making of didactic audio-visual learning-material (at least 5 theoretical videos and at least 5 tutorials) which cover the different aspects within our 5 modules (e.g. climate science, storytelling , media , social media and journalism
PR 3: digitools 4 transformation: Compilation of digital tools in a database of pre-existing digital material that we collect from various sources from all four partner countries in support of the clim@venture project:
PR 4: guide 4 transformation: setting up of a project guide for trainers – instruction and training of how to use our digitools compilation, audio-visual learning-material and the curriculum in practice.
Thanks to our clim@adventures, we can both foster shared experiences between peers as well as experiencing national and cultural differences in approaches to climate solutions and climate practices on all levels.
By applying an innovative format combining“ 4 activities 4 transformation” (see PRs), we accomplish standardization and digitalization of teaching materials for successful clim@ventures.
On the other hand we design and carry out workshops for multipliers that are developed as multiplier training in presence form and online or as video recordings and tuorials.
With clim@ventures we will create a long-term, crisis-resilient and attractive alternative to classical school trips and exchanges in the spirit of a “green Erasmus”. Clim@ventures highlight the opportunities of virtual collaboration and virtual travel.
We help students see their surroundings through a lens of sustainability. In this way, we create the requirement for developing awareness to act climate-friendly and engage for a sustainable future.

With the signing of the Paris Agreement, climate policy has become an educational priority. “In 2017, 102 of UNESCO’s 195 member states decided to have a dedicated education focus for Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE What is Action for Climate Empowerment? | UNFCCC) ACE emphasizes empowerment for individual action and independent judgment. Enabling students to actively shape a CO2- free future shall be achieved through climate education as an integral part of school programs. The importance of ACE is reflected in other international frameworks such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, 2015). In June 2015 it was decided that efforts related to the implementation of Article 6 would be referred to as Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) referring to Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
Additional – COVID has not only put tremendous challenges on educators and learners to change from in-site lessons to online learning while combating lack of digital and media literacy and consecutive disinformation, it has also put a halt on most mobilities and youth exchanges. An essential tool for creation of common values, civic engagement /European
citizenship and exchange of good practices and transnational collaboration are exchange programs such as Erasmus mobilities. But even after Corona – the even bigger threat of climate change, will put the question of a “green and crisis-resilient Erasmus” on the top agenda. Both crises demand courageous action!
We are four organizations that work from four different European countries on digital, green/climate skills, solution storytelling and youth empowerment. Creating a green Erasmus exchange for schools with virtual mobility and blended/global climate missions called the clim@adventure, has become the central objective of our partnership: Through our partnership we will achieve more reach, more motivation, more reduction of CO2- emissions by creating a standardized and digitized virtual peer-exchange for European schools with local climate missions.

Italia che Cambia’s role
In addition to support all the other project partners in the the realization of the other materials, outputs and in the project implementation, as ICC we have the main responsibility of coordinating the realization of the output n°2 – videobox for transformation – the realization and implementation of the training course on storytelling which will take place in Italy next year, as well as general communication and dissemination of the project stages and results.
